The developers of Warlock: Dungeons & Dragons have said they avoided putting waypoints into the game because they want players to actually explore.

Exterminauts is chaotic. Whether you’re blowing your friends up by accident or getting knocked off of a tall structure you’re trying to fix or just reacting to stuff going wrong on the fly, you’re always making decisions and dealing with something beyond your control, and according to the developers, that’s intentional. I felt it during my demo, and it’s one of the aspects of Exterminauts I enjoyed most.

Forgotten Island review: An emotional, funny, folklore-filled adventure about friendship.

Marvel’s Wolverine developer Insomniac has said it’s planning to “further refine the player experience” based on feedback, while insisting it’s “incredibly proud” of the game.

The 78th Emmy Awards are tonight. As the cliché goes: It’s TV’s biggest night of the year! Taking place at the Peacock Theater in Downtown LA, the ceremony tonight starts at 5pm PT / 8pm ET and will be streaming on Peacock and airing on NBC. Hosting is Law & Order: SVU’s Mariska Hargitay (who won two Emmys for her doc My Mom Jayn at the Creative Arts Emmys). The show’s format is slightly different this year, presumably in an effort to keep it from stretching past three hours. The Television Academy announced back in July that it was cutting five categories — Writing for a Variety Series, Supporting Actor and Actress in a Limited Series or Movie, Directing for a Limited Series or Movie, and Writing for a Limited Series or Movie — from the main broadcast, and lumped them in with the Creative Arts Emmy Awards that happened last weekend. I’ll be updating this page live during the show. Stay tuned for all the winners from the night! Dungeons & Dragons is one of the most popular tabletop games of all time. And while gameplay for the classic tabletop RPG does always pair well with drinking, it's not specifically designed for it. Thankfully there's an out-of-the-box option that lets you combine drinking and spell-slinging strategy seamlessly. And it's available for pretty cheap right now thanks to a new discount. Wizards Tavern is officially labeled as a strategy drinking card game for adults. It's based off of the popular Do or Drink card game, but with more D&D and quite a bit less party. Amazon currently has it on sale for $24.99 right now and comes with an extra party game for free. The way the game works is fairly straightforward. There are a total of 170 cards full of spellcasters and attacks that each player will be able to use. Your health and mana is managed via two drinks you'll need to sip to recover, each of which sits on a specific coaster included. There's also a set of d20 dice colors available representing the eight different wizard types you can choose from. As a party game , it's meant to be enjoyed with up to eight players but can also be played with as few as two. Presumably the more players you have, the more chaotic the game will get. The rules are also quite simple and easy to understand, making it perfect for folks who aren't tabletop gaming veterans just looking to have a good time and sling some spells. Amazon Includes a Free Card Game for a Limited Time In addition to the discount on the game itself, Amazon is offering a promotion right now that tosses in a free card game. On the product page there's a little note that says 'Free bonus item' and if you click to see what it is you'll find a party game called Don't Copy Me . You'll need to add both this item and Wizards Tavern to your cart to get this game for free at checkout. Looking for more games like this? New-ish Xbox CEO Asha Sharma has had a busy first six months on the job, including killing the divisive "This is Xbox" marketing campaign, slashing Xbox Game Pass Ultimate's subscription price, and unfortunately also overseeing mass layoffs and development studio spin-outs. But as Sharma has gotten settled in her job, she's also been spending time understanding Xbox's products and customers in another way: by fielding customer support tickets.
