TV tonight: a new era of Strictly begins in typically sparkling style
Emma Willis, Josh Widdicombe and Johannes Radebe take over hosting duties in the hoofing extravaganza. Plus: John Bishop’s new gameshow asks a lot of its audience. Here’s what to watch this evening 7.25pm, BBC One It’s time for the new Strictly era to begin, with Emma Willis, Josh Widdicombe and Johannes Radebe ebulliently taking over (sparkling) hosting duties. EastEnders stalwart Lacey Turner, footballer Shaun Wright-Phillips, Aussie singer Delta Goodrem, Gavin and Stacey’s Melanie Walters and previous dropout Dani Dyer are some of the 15 celebrities meeting their dance partners in this curtain-raiser. Alongside them, as is now customary in celebrity-based reality TV competitions, there’ll be some “media personalities” you’ll probably need to Google.
