More than 10 years after the violent death of Cambridge PhD student Giulio Regeni, his family receive the verdict in the trial of four Egyptian security agents accused of kidnap. Alex Croft reports
Defendants were sentenced in absentia to 10 years in prison over the 2016 fatal abduction of the Cambridge scholar.
The verdict followed a decade-long effort in Italy to account for the killing of Giulio Regeni, an Italian researcher who disappeared in Cairo in 2016.
