In February 2026, Southwest Airlines announced plans to introduce free Starlink Wi-Fi for Rapid Rewards members, which is of course an incredibly exciting passenger experience development. There’s now a positive update, as the first plane is now flying with the service, and we can expect a pretty quick rollout, with 300+ planes having Starlink by the end of the year.

United Airlines is making incredible progress introducing free Starlink Wi-Fi for MileagePlus members throughout its fleet. The airline has just shared an update regarding the rollout of this service, and the expectation is that 1,000 planes will have the service by the end of the year. To say that United is leaving American and Delta in the dust when it comes to connectivity would be an understatement.

United Airlines has officially operated its first long-haul flight equipped with Starlink inflight Wi-Fi, with flight UA14 operating from New York to London.

United is accelerating the rollout of fast, free Starlink Wi-Fi for MileagePlus members as United flight 14 is set to depart Newark/New York for London this evening aboard a Boeing 777-200, marking the airline’s first transatlantic widebody customer flight equipped with Starlink and the first of nearly 60 United widebody aircraft expected to have Starlink this year. United expects to have its entire widebody fleet outfitted by next summer as the airline expands Starlink’s high-speed, reliable internet across its fleet.
