Borussia Dortmund beat Paderborn 3-0 Freiburg lead on goal difference after 5-0 win Felix Nmecha scored twice and Fábio Silva grabbed another as Borussia Dortmund won 3-0 at home to promoted Paderborn to continue their perfect start in the Bundesliga. Dortmund’s win made it three from three in the league this campaign, their best start in 11 seasons, dating back to Thomas Tuchel’s time. Starting up front alongside Serhou Guirassy for the first time this season, Silva converted a clever pass from the Guinean to give the hosts the lead after five minutes. Guirassy had two goals disallowed for offside in the first half but Dortmund were rarely troubled by the toothless visitors, who are yet to score since returning to the top flight. This summer there were a couple of significant pieces of the puzzle for Oliver Glasner to put into place at Nottingham Forest. The first was a mobile striker to lead the line, and the other was a wing-back to fit his favoured 3-4-3 system. Enter Liam Delap and Daniel Munoz, both of whom had a big say in Forest’s first win of the season, though the match-winner was one of the old guard in Igor Jesus. Delap registered his first Forest goal in style, a powerful shot from 25 yards and Munoz was involved in the slick move that saw Igor Jesus read Morgan Gibbs-White’s exquisite backheel to defeat Aston Villa, who remain winless in the Premier League. Unai Emery hoped a Champions League victory at Club Brugge on Tuesday would be the catalyst to ignite their Premier League campaign but Igor Jesus clinched victory late on, after Alysson, a half-time substitute, headed in the equaliser. Emery introduced Ibrahim Mbaye and Johan Manzambi for their Villa debuts just after the hour but it was Forest’s £45m record signing Delap who ended the game victorious, this a typically boisterous display from the former Chelsea striker. WXV: England 48-15 Australia May Campbell kickstarts second half flurry of seven tries England had to execute something they have not had to do in John Mitchell’s reign against Australia, a comeback win after being down at half-time. It was the first time in almost six years the Red Roses had been trailing after the first 40. But whatever was said in the changing room shook the team to life as they scored 43 second-half points to keep their winning streak going. Australia gave the Red Roses quite the scare in the first half. The Wallaroos were not just clinical when in attack, but they were thorough and physical in defence to disrupt England’s front-foot ball.
