Entre janvier et juillet 2026, la situation humanitaire en République centrafricaine demeure critique. Sur 2,3 millions de personnes dans le besoin, 1,3 million étaient ciblées par le Plan de réponse humanitaire (PRH). Seules 471 600 personnes (36 %) ont reçu au moins une forme d’assistance et 187 000 (15 %) ont bénéficié d'une couverture multisectorielle adéquate. Parmi les 932 100 personnes hyper-priorisées, les plus vulnérables, seulement 160 500 (17 %) ont été couvertes, laissant 772 000 personnes sans réponse suffisante. Au 31 août, 208,3 millions de dollars américains avaient été mobilisés, soit 43,7 % des besoins, maintenant un déficit de 148,7 millions de dollars. Ces résultats doivent toutefois être interprétés avec prudence en raison de lacunes importantes dans le rapportage. Plusieurs clusters, notamment Éducation, Protection de l’enfance, Abris/AME, CCCM et Protection, n’ont pas transmis l’ensemble de leurs données dans les délais, ce qui peut entraîner une sous-estimation des réalisations et limite l’analyse précise des besoins non couverts et des disparités géographiques.

During the first half of 2026, the humanitarian situation in the Central African Republic remained stable but concerning. An estimated 2.3 million people were in need of humanitarian assistance, including 1.3 million people targeted under the Humanitarian Response Plan (HRP). However, limited logistical access and funding constraints continued to hamper operations. As of 30 June, 405,000 targeted people (32 per cent) had received some form of assistance, while only 155,000 people had benefited from a more integrated, multi-sectoral response. To maximize the impact of limited resources, humanitarian partners refocused their response on a hyper-prioritized caseload of 932,100 of the most vulnerable people. As of 30 June, 343,300 people in this group (37 per cent) had received at least one form of sectoral assistance. Nevertheless, significant coverage gaps remain. Only 89,600 hyper-prioritized people (10 per cent) received the full package of assistance required, leaving 808,900 people (90 per cent) without adequate coverage. This includes 769,600 internally displaced persons (IDPs), returnees and members of host communities, as well as 39,300 refugees. These gaps are driven by insufficient funding and marked geographical disparities in service delivery. In 2026, the HRP requires US$264.1 million to meet humanitarian needs. As of 30 June 2026, donors had provided US$110.2 million, representing 41.7 per cent of the required funding and leaving a funding gap of US$153.9 million.
