Trump seeks potash deal with Belarus amid tensions with Canada

President Donald Trump said the United States is working on a major deal to buy potash fertilizer from Belarus at a lower cost than Canadian supplies. Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said the country does not have enough available fertilizer to supply Western markets. The proposed deal would expand US trade with Russia-aligned Belarus as tensions with Canada continue.
