Since January 2026, 70 incidents have affected humanitarian workers in Central African Republic. In August, six incidents were reported, compared to 11 in July, a decrease of 45 per cent. This decrease may be related to reduced mobility of humanitarian actors due to the rainy season. Despite this monthly decrease, the level of incidents remains high, with an average of eight incidents per month since the beginning of the year. Out of six incidents recorded in August, the majority (five) were criminal in nature, including one armed robbery, one tentative break-in and three cases of theft. One incident of threats against humanitarian workers was reported. Two incidents were reported in the sub-prefecture of Bocaranga; the sub-prefectures of Birao, Bangassou, Bria and Bouar each recorded one incident. International NGOs were the main affected organizations, with three incidents recorded, followed by United Nations agencies with two incidents and a national NGO with one incident. Since January 2026, the Vakaga prefecture has remained the most affected with 18 incidents recorded, followed by Bangui with 15 incidents and Haut-Mbomou with 14 incidents.

Depuis janvier 2026, 70 incidents ont affecté les travailleurs humanitaires en République centrafricaine. Au cours du mois d’août, six incidents ont été signalés, contre 11 en juillet, soit une baisse de 45 %. Cette diminution pourrait être liée à la réduction des déplacements des acteurs humanitaires en raison de la saison des pluies. Malgré cette diminution mensuelle, le niveau d’incidents demeure élevé avec une moyenne de huit incidents par mois depuis le début de l'année. Parmi les incidents enregistrés en août, cinq étaient de nature criminelle, dont un braquage à main armée, une tentative de cambriolage et trois cas de vol. Un incident concernait également des menaces proférées à l’encontre d’un personnel humanitaire. Deux incidents ont été rapportés dans la sous-préfecture de Bocaranga; les sous-préfectures de Birao, Bangassou, Bria et Bouar ont chacune enregistré un incident. Les ONG internationales ont été les principales organisations affectées, avec trois incidents recensés, suivies des agences des Nations Unies avec deux incidents et d’une ONG nationale avec un incident. Depuis janvier 2026, la préfecture de la Vakaga demeure la plus affectée avec 18 incidents enregistrés, suivie de Bangui avec 15 incidents et du Haut-Mbomou avec 14 incidents.
