Opinionated entrepreneur Elon Musk has taken aim at Delta Air Lines, claiming that passengers are avoiding the carrier due to its lack of Starlink WiFi. Never one to mince his words when it comes to online flame wars (such as his public spat with Ryanair CEO Michael O'Leary), Musk even said that things will "get much worse" for Delta.

Qatar Airways has reached a new milestone in its global Starlink programme, further expanding high-speed onboard connectivity across its widebody fleet. The airline has now become the first carrier globally to operate Starlink-equipped Boeing 787-9 aircraft, while completing the rollout across its Boeing 787-8 sub-fleet and bringing the total number of Starlink-equipped widebody aircraft in operation to 150.
In late 2024, we saw Qatar Airways equip its first aircraft with Starlink connectivity. At the time, this made the oneworld carrier one of the first in the world to introduce this.

Aer Lingus is accelerating the rollout of Starlink Wi-Fi across its fleet, as customers embrace the introduction of the free, innovative technology to stream, work and game onboard at 35,000 feet. Aer Lingus introduced Starlink on its first aircraft, Airbus A330 EI-EIN, back in March 2026, giving customers access to free, high-speed, low-latency internet in the air. Since then, the airline has continued its Starlink rollout and now all transatlantic flights to and from Shannon Airport are equipped with Starlink.
