Disney Launches New 'Bookcessories' Featuring Iconic Characters From Star Wars and Animated Classics

Insight Editions, the company behind various themed cookbooks and crochet books, has officially launched its first line of "bookcessories" in collaboration with Disney. Starting at $19.99, each of these little accessories includes a tiny hardcover book tucked into a themed keychain case. There are officially three Star Wars bookcessories available now alongside six Disney-themed versions. And while Disney-owned brands are the first to get this treatment, there are more on the way next year for franchises like Harry Potter and DC. What Is a Bookcessory? If you haven't already heard the term "bookcessory", I don't blame you. Until today I didn't realize such a thing existed. Sure, there are already plenty of reading accessories available on the market right now, but this appears to be an entirely new category. According to the press release from Insight Editions, the all-new Bookcessories line of products are "miniature books packed with images, art, quotes, and more" that are housed in an "eye-catching, durable, character-shaped PVC cases with a clip". So a bookcessory is essentially just a tiny book in a keychain case. The keychain cases themselves are adorable of course, but the book is incredibly tiny. Measuring at just 1.34-inches by 1.73-inches, these teensy hardcover books are designed to be carried with you anywhere. The Disney collection is written by Brooke Vitale and the Star Wars collection is written by S.T. Bende. Both collections are now available to purchase at Amazon. More Bookcessories Up for Preorder The Disney and Star Wars collections are live now, but Insight Editions already has more bookcessories on the way. The next launch on the docket is for fans of the Harry Potter books and includes a little Hogwarts and Gryffindor books. Presumably each of the major houses will also get a book, but preorders have yet to go live beyond those two options releasing in March 2027. Both Marvel and DC comics are also getting some representation later in April 2027 with Spider-Man, Batman, and Superman bookcessories. Each of these will be packed with memorable moments across cinema, as well as art from the comics these characters originated from. Looking for more like this? Star Wars Encyclopedias Are Deeply Discounted for Amazon Prime Members Right Now

Amazon recently announced the dates for its Prime Big Deal Days sale , and while it's still a couple weeks away, there are already some great early deals available for Prime members. If you're a fan of Star Wars in particular, some of the coolest encyclopedias I've ever seen are on sale right now at their lowest prices of the year. You don't need to be really into Star Wars to understand why these encyclopedias make for a great gift for fans of the movies . After all, who wouldn't want to see a cross-section of an X-Wing or a massive AT-AT Walker? All of the encyclopedias currently on sale are either at their lowest prices ever or the lowest price in 2026 to-date. Each of the books I've featured here are the hardcover editions that include full-color illustrations, pictures, and additional artwork inside. Based on the preview images for each book, the encyclopedias appear to be rooted in Disney's version of Star Wars canon , which excludes anything outside of George Lucas' Star Wars trilogies and the Disney TV shows and movies that followed. That means you shouldn't expect to see characters or things featured in Star Wars Legends media here. As for what book is worth picking up during this sale, that's entirely up to you. I'm personally drawn to the Complete Vehicles guide as it features cross-sections of iconic ships and land vehicles. As someone who loves building LEGO Star Wars sets , there's just something that appeals to me about knowing how these machines are actually designed to function. More Early Book Deals at Amazon Amazon's Prime Big Deal Days sale doesn't take place until October 6-7, but the early deals on books have been particularly good so far. Most of the Lord of the Rings Illustrated editions started getting major price cuts last week and a number of cool coffee table books are getting the same treatment this week.
